I want to share the area of rectangle formula today, i had given you the definition of the rectangle a few days back didn't i? Well friends, lets go ahead and see what is the formula to find the area of a rectangle below along with a problem.

Formula to find the area of the rectangle is Length* breadth

area of the rectangle= length*breadth (l*b)

Now lets look at the problem below.

The table measure length of 4m and the breadth is 5 m. Calculate the area of the given rectangular table?

Length(l) = 4m
Breadth(b)= 5m

Area of the rectangle= l*b
= 4*5
= 20 m

Therefore the area of the rectangular table measures 20m.
