If the equation has only one unknown letter it is called as One Variable Linear Equation. The solution to this equation is called Root to the equation. To solve one variable equation we need to move the terms containing the variable to one side and the constants of the equation to the other side (of the '=' symbol). This will reduce the form, this can be explained with the help of an example.
Example: 2x=16 ( x is the variable here and 2, 16 are the constants of the equation)
solution= x=16/2
Therefore x=8 ie (16/2).
