Multiplication of Algebraic fractions: Both the numerator and denominator has to be multiplied. The product of the two numerator has to be the numerator and the product of two denominator has to be the denominator. I will explain this with a few easy example which i am sure it will help you understand better.
Example 1: Multiply 1/9 and 6/7
1/9 * 6/7 = (1*6) / (9*7)
= 6 / 63
Example 2. : Multiply 2/3 and 5/7

Now i find the multiplication of algebraic fractions easy, isn't it. How do you find it? Now lets learn how to solve Division of Algebraic fractions.
Division of Algebraic fractions:- To solve division of algebraic fractions we need to follow three basic steps.
Step1:- Turn the second fraction upside- down
Step2:- Multiple the first fraction by the reciprocal of the second.
Step3:- If required simplify the fraction.
Let me explain the same with the help of an example
Example:- Divide 1/2 by 1/4
As mentioned earlier turn the second fraction upside-down
1/2 by 4/1
1/2*4/1=(1*2)(2*1)=4/2
4/2=2/1=2 therefore the answer is 2.
I hope you go through the steps which are mentioned above carefully as this will help you to solve multiplication and division of all algebraic fractions.
