Standard form of Linear equation

Linear equations were explained to you earlier right. Now lets see what is the standard form of a linear equation.

The standard form of linear equation in two variables is usually written as Ax+By+C=0. Here A and B are not equal to zero. All the given real numbers are assigned to x. The value of x and y can be solved by solving the two given equation. The linear algebra equation is mainly used to find the unknowns with the help of known variables. The following example explains standard form linear equations.

Example 1:

Evaluate the linear equation 5x – 4y > 3x + 4y+4

Solution:

Given expression is
5x – 4y > 3x + 4y+4

Add 4y on both sides and solve it
5x > 3x + 4

Subtract 3x on both sides and solve it
2x > 4

Multiply 1/2 on both sides and solve it
x > 2

The solution is (2, + infinity).
