Prime Factorization

Greetings!!!Hello Friends!!!

We been learning on different topics in mathematics which has been interesting and informative. I am here again with another interesting topic called Prime factorization. Look below for the introduction of Prime factorization and a few examples. Look for a brief on prime numbers and prime factorization below.

Introduction of Prime Number:- A prime number is a whole number which is greater to 1, it can be divided by either with 1 or by itself. But 1 is not a prime number.

Introduction of Prime Factorization:- Prime factorization is a process of finding which number can be multiplied together to get the original number. It is also called as Integer factorization. The prime numbers 30 are thus 2, 3, 5, 7, 11, 13, 17, 19, 23, and 29. A factor which is a prime number is called prime factor. All number can be expressed as a product of prime numbers.

Example with steps:-

Find the prime factor of 12?

We need to start with small prime number which is 2

therefore 12/2 = 6

here we find 6 is not a factor therefore we need to factorize it future. With the same procedure lets use the small prime number to factorize

6/2=3

As 3 is a prime number and we are aware that every factor is a prime number we conclude the prime factorization of 12 is 2 × 2 × 3, it can also be written as 22 × 3

Will you be able to solve the problems on prime factorization? Its very simple just go through the steps which were shown above.

I am looking forward to know your interest in the post i do and of course want to discover new topics which you all are looking for.
